         Welcome to our webpage.  This webpage was created by students enrolled in Biology 181H at the University of Arizona.  We were given the opportunity to construct a website for the public’s general interest and for the enhancement of our own educational experience with a glimpse into the dynamics behind interpreting research publications. 

            Information on this site is based on the research publication titled “Scotopic Colour Vision in Nocturnal Hawkmoths,” authored by Almut Kelber, Anna Balkenius, and Eric J. Warrant from the Department of Cell and Organism Biology at Sweden’s Lund University.  Special thanks goes to Dr. Daniel Papaj of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona, our group’s faculty mentor, for his technical expertise regarding this topic and his most helpful suggestions in creating this website.
