Welcome
This
website was created by Group 15 The Great. A group
comprised of 5 students at the
University
of Arizona for their honor’s biology 181 project under the
guidance
of their faculty mentor Dr. Matthew Cordes. The basis of this project
was
inspired by the paper Structural Basis of Heroin and Cocaine
Metabolism by a
Promiscous
Human Drug-Processing Enzyme written
by Sompop Bencharit,
Christopher
L. Morton, Yu Xue, Phillip M. Potter, and Matthew R. Redinbo.
Inspiration
Group
15 the great would like to thank both Dr. Grimes and Dr. Willott
for
having this course, its great. We would especially like to thank
Dr. Willott for teaching
us
the “recipe for success”! Thanks for getting our adrenaline
pumping and
motivating
us to get this rewarding experience rolling. Also, huge thanks to
Dr. Cordes
for
really explaining what's going on in this paper, and for being the
coolest biochemist this
side
of the Mississippi.
Finally, we would like to dedicate this cite to Jennifer Micoiubidy,
and
Wilson Snyder – two lost Group 15 members who are still looking
for
Koffler 204. It would have been nice to meet you.
