POSTING FILES

To go back to Projects 2004

Hope this helps.
Remember there's help in the BLC whenever it's open.

To post your files, RBrowserLite (for Mac's) is free software and is installed on the computers in the BLC; we have also tested Filezilla for PC.

For RBrowserLite: use
FTP
student.biology.arizona.edu (as host/URL)
(user name as given to you by email; contact me if you have not yet given me an email address to which I can send that information)
(password as given to you by email)
/honors2004 (as the path)

For File_zilla: use
student.biology.arizona.edu/honors2004 (as host/URL)
(user name as given to you by email; contact me if you have not yet given me an email address to which I can send that information)
(password as given to you by email)

RBrowserLite is free and for Macs and is available at
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/13994
It's icon looks like:

and you need to make sure you choose the ftp option (not public ftp)

FileZilla is free and for PC's. You can access it at:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/filezilla/ FileZilla_2_2_8b_setup.exe?download
Then "choose" a download site. Basically, you can click on anything in the "Download" column of the page. One of my computer friends prefers to use "the University of Minnesota, 'cause they're pretty fast, but Êit really doesn't matter."

The icon for FileZilla is:

and you will see a screen something like:

You will need to enter the server site address:
student.biology.arizona.edu/honors2004
and then the user name and password.
