Welcome to our webpage. This webpage was created by students of Group Two in the Biology 181H class at the University of Arizona. We would like to use this opportunity to inform the general public on information regarding proteins that transport drug molecules out of our body.
Information on this site is based on the research done by Masato Otsuka, Takuya Matsumoto, Riyo Morimoto, Shigeo Arioka, Hiroshi Omote, and Yoshinori Moriyama, titled: A Human Transporter Protein that Mediates the Final Excretion Step for Toxic Organic Cations. Their research has greatly expanded our knowledge of science and the functions of specific proteins.
We'd also like to thank Dr. Stephen H Wright in devoting his time to mentoring our group and helping us to understand the the paper. We greatly appreciate the opportunity given to us to bring awareness and understanding of science to the public.
Hope everyone will enjoy our website!
