This site was created by students in the Honors Biology section at the University of Arizona. With the help of Dr. Andrew Fuglevand, Department of Physiology, we analyzed the research paper Neuronal ensemble control of prosthetic devices by a human with tetraplegia which was written by a group of scientists lead by Leigh R. Hochberg. This paper discusses the rise of interesting breakthroughs in the fairly new field of prosthetic technology. This site provides information about the advances in neurological prosthetics as well as the ethical dilemma behind the delicate procedure.
