Other Sites to Visit for Fly Neurobiology

FlyBase, a comprehensive database for information on the genetics and biology of Drosophilia, can be found at http://firefly.bio.indiana.edu/. This site also has many other different links to information about Drosophilia for all you Drosophilia nuts.

FlyView is a database in which scientists working on Drosophilia can post their data. However, it appears to mainly have images but you can visit it anyway and look at the pretty pictures at http://phio07.uni-muenster.de/.

Another FlyBase is located at http://morgan.harvard.edu/fb.html/. However, this particular site will be closing sometime this year, so visit soon or the other FlyBase sites that it recommends are http://cbbridges.harvard.edu/ at Harvard, http://www.angis.su.oz.au/ in Australia, and http://shigen.lab.nig.ac.jp/ in Japan.

This Drosophilia lab has links to many others, but first you have to check it out at http://deep-thought.biologie.uni-freiburg.de/data/kff.html/.

A Drosophilia virtual lab at http://www-leland.stanford.edu/~ger/drosophila.html has lots of general and specific information and tons of pictures.

Including information about neurobiology as it relates to disorders in humans and the medicines used to treat them has been see at http://lmc.einet.net/galaxy/Medicine/Human-Biology/Neurobiology.html/. It also has links to Academic Organizations with strong neurobiology programs.
