Chloride Ion Man was humming to himself one day as he waved "hello" to a passing ribosome, when a distressed water molecule approached him.
"You must help us, Chloride Ion Man! Mucus Man has taken over the nucleus and changed chromosome seven. Now, all of us water molecules have to leave the cell because the sodium channels are replicating uncontrollably. If you don't stop Mucus Man's dastardly plot, the whole cell as we know it will be destroyed, along with the rest of the body!"
