This web page was designed by group 15 of the Honors MCB 181 course at the University of Arizona. We were given an assignment to work with a faculty mentor who had chosen a research paper for us to study and then create a web page on the concepts we had learned from the paper. We worked with Dr. Hunter to understand a paper written by her during her dissertation work in NY. The paper is titled: "Origin of males by genome loss in an autoparasitiod wasp," and was published in Heredity magazine in 1993.

The underlined words in the text are links to the glossary page, where definitions of the underlined words can be found.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our web site.  We tried to make it fun and interesting as well as informative.  Please let us know if you have any questions.
