This
is the human antibody Fab 17b
This antibody is part of the human
immune system. The antibody attempts to inhibit binding of the HIV
virus at the chemokine receptor. However, the binding of this antibody
to gp120 does not significantly effect the binding of gp120 to CD4.
As a result the HIV virus can still inject its genetic material into the
lymphocyte cell.
